Welcome!

This blog is to chronicle for myself and others me getting to be the person I want to be.  I have depression, anxiety, and have recently become technically obese due to a combination of a medicine I was trying and general laziness, and lost my job a month ago.  I started dieting a week and a half ago and I started a newer medicine which is helping a great deal about a month and a half ago.  I am finally able to get a grip on life even if life wants to be spiraling out of control for me right now.

I'll be tracking all my food and exercise here as well as tracking my purchases because I want this to show if/how this can be done on serious monetary constraints which I'll explain more about later.

So for today I've had 2 eggs, 2 glasses of juice, a string cheese, and 2 turkey sandwhiches for a total of 1,030 calories.  I'm not doing great today so far, but I've been incorporating some "strength" training into my so far cardio-only workouts.  Today I did shoulder presses.  I'm really out of shape and I'm working from a plan written up for me by a trainer at Planet Fitness a while back so I have some idea of what to do.  Each day for a week I'm working different muscle groups and after the first week I'll be doing 2 a day then 3 and so on as they all group up larger until I do the full workout each day.  I'll post it all here soon, it's in a google drive document.

I want to make meal plans, but I'm bad at them.  What I need and something else I'm going to try and do here is recipes for 1.  It's just me cooking for me and shit gets expensive.  If anyone knows any 1 person dinner blogs I'd love to see them!

I'm also looking for other people that are going through/have gone through similar situations to contribute, so hit me up if you'd like to!
